Cognitive Leap Celebrates XR Hall of Fame Induction of Founders at AWE 2025

Irvine, CA – May 23, 2025 – Cognitive Leap Solutions proudly announces that two of its esteemed leaders, Dr. Albert “Skip” Rizzo, Chief Science Officer, and Dr. Walter Greenleaf, Advisor and Co-Founder, have been named among the 2025 inductees to the Augmented World Expo (AWE) XR Hall of Fame. The formal induction will take place at the upcoming AWE USA event, held in Long Beach, California, in June 2025.

The XR Hall of Fame honors individuals who have made lasting contributions to the fields of augmented, virtual, and mixed reality. Both Dr. Rizzo and Dr. Greenleaf are internationally recognized pioneers whose work has shaped the intersection of immersive technology and behavioral health.

Dr. Walter Greenleaf is a distinguished neuroscientist with over 35 years of work in medical product development, focusing on the use of virtual environments for clinical applications. As a key advisor to Stanford University and Chair of the International Virtual Reality Health Association (IVRHA), Dr. Greenleaf remains at the forefront of digital health innovation.

Dr. Albert “Skip” Rizzo is best known for his development of virtual reality exposure therapy for PTSD and his extensive work in using immersive technologies for rehabilitation, cognitive training, and mental health assessment. As Cognitive Leap’s Chief Science Officer, he continues to lead scientific research to validate and expand the impact of XR in clinical settings.
