What traditional assessments miss

Rating scales rely on memory and subjective impressions. Paper tests don't reflect real classrooms. Brief observations cannot capture what happens over time. Importantly, traditional assessments do not measure the underlying neurophysiological mechanisms—the actual brain-behavior patterns driving attention and impulse control. This results in surface-level impressions rather than objective biometric data.

Objective data with ecological validity

vCAT® and VRAT® place children in a realistic VR environment—complete with distractions—while capturing thousands of data points in real time, all in 13 minutes. Our data reports are generated within seconds for comprehensive interpretation and action plans.

Peer-reviewed. Clinically validated.

vCAT and VRAT are built on technologies validated by numerous peer-reviewed studies.

VRAT's normative data is published in Frontiers in Virtual Reality (2024) with Dr. Albert "Skip" Rizzo, Director of Medical VR at USC and a pioneer in clinical virtual reality research.
